ABC complaints
One of the great things about having an independent public broadcaster is that they maintain their integrity by having an independent complaints process. If there is something you don't like about the way the ABC is going about its job or you think they could improve then make a complaint.
ABC Unleashed
The ABC also monitors comments submitted on the discussion forum of its Unleashed site. There's plenty of great satire there too!

2007 Federal Election
During the 2007 Federal Election, Friends of the ABC Victoria sent a survey to a number of Federal Election candidates on behalf of other FABCs including Friends of the ABC Tasmania. Although the questionnaire was sent to individual candidates, responses were given by parties including:
Responses were also received by The Democrats and Nick Xenephon (independent Senate candidate in South Australia) but we have not included these because Tasmanian electors did not have the option of voting for these candidates. Family First candidates were sent the survey but failed to respond.
Although he was not specifically approached, independent Senate candidate Dino Ottavi sent us a statement about his position on the ABC. From the information received Friends of the ABC prepared a website with information for voters.
The following advertisement placed in The Examiner and The Advocate helped promote the website:

The chart below summarises the position of the major parties that were running in Tasmania on several important commitments for which Friends of the ABC were campaigning:
